The Metro Water District is considering adding additional water conservation measures to those in the existing Water Supply and Water Conservation Management Plan. This is in response to the federal court ruling that held that Lake Lanier is not authorized to be operated for water supply.
The Metro Water District is seeking public review and comment on the draft Additional Water Conservation Measures. The draft measures are attached to this email. The existing Water Supply and Water Conservation Management Plan can be found on the Metro Water District Web site at www.northgeorgiawater.org. The comment period is open from September 17, 2010 through October 22, 2010. Comments must be submitted in writing by the last day of the comment period to be considered.
