• Overlook Park Closure

    The City of Sandy Springs will close Morgan Falls Overlook Park on Monday, February 13, 2012 for up to three weeks to install shades over the playground equipment. The shades will be fitted over the large and small playground equipment in the park, and will have the ability to be taken down during poor weather and during the winter months.

    The March 6, 2012 Presidential Preference Primary Election is fast approaching. To assist our residents in understanding Georgia voting procedures, the City has set up a Voting in Sandy Springs webpage.     The City has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a Request for Information (RFI) related to redevelopment in the City’s downtown area. Information about the requests can be found on the City’s Downtown Development webpage, as well as details of Public Meetings and other resources.

  • New Requirements in Business License Renewals

    New regulations enacted under Georgia House Bill 87 now require that all verifiable identification be submitted in person or via email. Verifiable identification can include a driver’s license or passport.

    In early 2012, the U.S. Postal Service will be sending out a survey asking businesses and residents to vote yes or no on changing the preferred default city in the Postal Service database from “Atlanta” to “Sandy Springs.” Voting yes will result in a number of benefits for our community.
